I am writing to make a formal complaint about inappropriate, racist, and threatening behaviour displayed by an individual who appears to be employed by Medway Maritime Hospital. I am concerned about how this behaviour reflects on the Trust and the safety and dignity of staff, patients, and the wider community.

Below are the details of my complaint:

• Alleged employer: Medway Maritime Hospital, Gillingham, Kent

• Description of behaviour:

The individual posted comments that appear to threaten violence/genocide against Tamil people. The language used is racist and suggests harm to a protected group. I consider this behaviour to be deeply offensive, discriminatory, and unbefitting of someone associated with the NHS.

This behaviour is unacceptable and could undermine public confidence in the Trust. I request that the Trust investigates this matter, takes appropriate action, and responds to me regarding the outcome. I would also be grateful to know whether any support or guidance will be provided to ensure this behaviour is addressed.
