Captain Miller

We expressed our opinion only about the title of that film. There is no personal hatred or animosity beyond that. Our only intention was to express the anger we felt about the name itself.
Everyone knows why that name was chosen; there is no need for us to explain it. We leave that to you.

The main reason we requested the name change is because the Tamil people have endured immense losses. You too know that well; you have experienced part of that truth. The world knows what we have lost. There may be differences of opinion, but the majority stand on one side — the side of the victims.

Already, many aspects of Tamil history are being erased, altered, or distorted by different groups. For example, before the release of the movie “Dhanush’s Miller,” when one searched “Captain Miller” on Google, information about the real Miller appeared first. Now, when we search, Dhanush’s image appears predominantly — which has no connection to the real historical figure. This creates confusion.

For example, our children’s know who the real Miller was. In the future, if they wish to show their children about him, they will search online — and what they find there matters greatly. That is why we made our post. The digital world is the “evidence base” for the next generation.

We do not know the story of the new film. But no matter how much effort is made, a fictional character can never truly represent the sacrifice or the historic legacy of a real person.

Every Eelam Tamil has the duty to protect our history. We should never allow anyone to change, rewrite, or erase it.

We are not against South Indians

Furthermore, we work closely with the Naam Tamilar movement. Many people in Tamil Nadu also stand with us, acting and expressing their support for the cause of Eelam.

In this world, everyone has their own purpose; so do we.

In 1993, we were adopted by Mother Tamil. She taught us her values, and those same feelings and principles continue to drive us even today — to stand firm against unseen enemies.

We still act under our final guiding principle:
Digital Realm of Tamil Eelam
